Legacy Park

I took Claire to the park today. She had me push her on the swing for what seemed like hours! It was about the only thing she cared for. There were several baby rabbits and she was really excited about them. They were super cute little critters. As we all know, she loves critters!

Claire also enjoyed playing in the little houses. I asked Claire for a kiss through one of the windows. She refused to give me a kiss. I pretended to cry. She said, "I don't want to hear that in my house!". That is a direct quote from her Aunt Kris. She calls her house the happy house and the kids are not allowed to be cranky or rude at her house. It was so funny.

Daddy's New Old Truck

Cecil purchased a 1968 Ford pickup truck. He's always wanted a nice old truck. It is super clean and everything is factory. The kids love riding in it. It was not made with an a/c, so he rides with the windows down. The kids love letting the wind blow through their hair. Since it doesn't have air bags, they can ride in the front seat! I like it because it will make an AWESOME photo prop!

New Swimmy Soup

That's what Claire calls it. The kids have been begging to get in the water every since it has been seventy degrees. I finally agreed to let them play in the water last night. When I went to put Claire's old suit on, it wouldn't even go over her thighs very easily. So, while the kids were at school, we went to get her a new suit. She demanded to get in the water as soon as we got home with the new swimmy soup.

Peacocks

We saw these birds and Claire was so excited. She had never seen a Peacock before. They are so beautiful. I love their little hair thing on top of their head. I was surprised to find one with his feathers up. I could stare at that thing all day!

Hanna Montana's Hoedown Throwdown

The Easter Bunny brought the kids The Hannah Montana Movie soundtrack. They love this song. Cecil swears these will be a great blackmail tool when he begins dating! It is so entertaining!

Egg Decorating

The kids had the best time coloring eggs today. We had two visitors, Erika and William, join in on the fun. It was chaotic to say the least, but we got it done without spilling any coloring dye.
We did crack a few eggs, but we just made deviled eggs from those. The kids loved the deviled eggs. Well, except Claire!
You know how the coloring kits only come with one egg dipper? Well, with three dippers and eight children, there's a lot of waiting going on. Claire decided to dip her hand directly in the cup to get her eggs out! Then, several more children followed suit. The result? About 50 stained fingers and a lot of scrubbing. Their hands did not come clean, but I don't care. There was a day that I would have cared, but I've learned to bend. Sometimes the kids just having fun is more important than my OCD being under control.
Funniest thing that happened today:
The kids have this obsession with being the first one to get in the car. So, I told the kids to load up as I grabbed a few things for the diaper bag. We were on our way to church, so they were carrying their Bibles. Joseph came back inside with a look of distress on his face and said, "Cheyenne hit me with the word of God!". He was genuinely upset, so I tried to keep a straight face. It was so cute! I scolded Cheyenne by saying, "We do not hit people with the word of God." Cecil and I laughed, although we were trying not to.
