St Patty's Day at the Pottery Store

Trying to fight the "Spring Break Borings", we headed to the Mudd Room for a creative outlet. I love that place! The kids do, too. They are mostly abstract artists, so I had them paint eggs. I plan to put them all in an Easter basket for a center piece.

Lesson Learned...

Never tell your two year old child your plan for the day! Last Saturday, I woke Claire asking her if she wanted to go see an elephant and feed him apples. She was so excited. She took her bath and got dressed without any fuss. She was dancing and singing madeup elephant songs. When we got to the Science Spectrum, the elephant was not outside. When I inquired about the elephant, they said it was too cold for him to come out, but they would bring him out at 12:30. We got there at 11:00. We waited, no elephant. We waited another hour, no elephant. By this time, it was past time for a nap, so we needed to leave. I won't blog about what happened next. I will say my angel girl was not so angelic! She fell asleep in the car. She woke up a little when I was getting her out of the car and said, "Elephant" in the most sad voice.
Lesson learned! Next time I have a big event planned, I am going to make it a surprise. Then, if it doesn't work out, my poor baby won't be heartbroken!

Nevaeh and Faith Turn 5

Faith and Nevaeh had their party at the park. The weather man predicted the weather to be a perfect Saturday when I made the invites. It ended up being very windy and a little too cold! The kids played at the park for a while and then we went to Kris' house for cake. You can tell how windy it was by the photos!

Tell me how you really feel!

Noah gets really tired of the camera!

Look!

It was pajama day at Claire's school. I was able to pull just enough hair to make some really cute pigtails. Grow hair, GROW!

Little Princess

Oh, the joys of little girls! She's your typical girly girl. She loves the color pink, dress-up, makeup, jewerly, sunglasses, and fixing everyones hair.

Almost Forgot

to upload our Valentine photos. The kids at parties at school. It was a busy day. The parties were at the same time as Claire's nap time, so you can guess how much fun I had! I gave her- I don't know how many cupcakes to make her happy!

J's Gone Home!

This is a song that I found at Christmas. I couldn't help but think about J. He's had an uphill battle his whole life. I played this song on Christmas night. It really hit close to home. Cecil and I both prayed that a home would be found for J, soon! Fast forward two months and now he's gone to his new family! His new family is the best thing anyone could ask for. The father is a Pastor of the Baptist Chuch in their town and the mom is a third grade teacher. They have two older kids, who are just wonderful. I remember the first conversation I had with the prospective mom. The first thing she asked me was, "Can you please tell me the good things about J?". He was excited to go, but hesistant to leave. He said he was going to miss everyone. He promised us that when he grew up, he was going to come back to visit us.

This will be an adjustment for them, so please pray for them. Claire doesn't understand it all either. She keeps asking, "Where J go, Momma?" No matter how hard this is on any of us, this is truly the ending we have all prayed for. I know he is going to have a wonderful life!

Cozy Little Bunch

This is a photo that Cecil was able to capture one day while I was away. They are too stinkin cute! Notice that Cheyenne is holding Sparkle.

Claire's Valentine Program

This is Claire's first Valentie party at PDO. The kids at SuperKids put on a Valentine musical. The sanctuary was full of parents and families, so Claire was a little bit timid, but I think she did great for a two and a half year old! I actually got chills and my eyes began to water when she started singing. I couldn't belive my baby was on stage, singing! Cecil laughed at me. I punched him.

He's SEVEN!

What? My baby is 7! It's so sad how fast they grow. We celebrated his birthday in Ft. Worth. Mom, DD, brother Jason, Me, Kate, Kathy, Me, Cecil, Claire, Kris and Erika were all there to celebrate with him. Mom stole the show with her gift. She got him a LCD tv to hang on his wall! Excited doesn't begin to describe how he felt. DD got him a Pixo machine. (Thanks again for that DD, you brat!) Kris got him some DVDs and craft supplies. We bought him a learning globe that he's been wanting for forever, a wii game, and some Webkinz. We went to the Ft. Worth zoo. The weather was a perfect 73 degrees. For his birthday dinner, we ate at Dad's favorite restaurant, Salt Grass, to celebrate. Noah ordered cheesecake for his birthday cake. The kids had a cooking party to celebrate. It was a great trip.

ETA:

I know this is not the best pic of the two of them, but little C was not cooperating in the least!

Fling a Kid

There's a new park in Wolfforth. The kids love it because it has several pieces of equipment that other parks don't have. We have named one of the pieces, 'Fling A Kid'. It is the funniest thing you have ever seen. The kids hang on, an adult spins it, and the kid goes spinning until they let go, at which point, they fly throught the sky. The kids LOVE it! They beg to go to the Fling A Kid park. They also love the mery-go-round. We've had such a warm winter that we have gotten to go many times! If you come to visit, be sure to have us take you to the park!

Introducing Cheyenne and Faith

These are our newest additions. They couldn't be more beautiful! They are super sweet girls. Cheyenne is 6.5 and Faith will be 5 in a few weeks. Cheyenne reminds me of Punky Brewster. Faith is full of energy. She and Nevaeh could be long lost sisters! Does that tell you enough?

Torturing Noah

He hates to shop! Hate, hate, hates it! He would rather be grounded from the wii for a week than go shopping. He has started being a little mischevios when he his made to go. So, this day was no different. I'm trying to get some serious shopping done, when I turn around to find this little goof ball messing with the sunglasses. He begs, "Please can I have these? They match my jacket!" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!", I respond. He dies laughing. He's so fun!

She Loves Pink

When I ask her, "What do you want to drink?" , she says, "Pink!". That means strawberry milk. She picks all of the pink candy out of the bag first. She loves pink. She wants to wear pink socks with pink shoes with pink pants, a pink shirt, a pink bow and a pink chapstick in her pink purse while sucking her pink pacifier! She's obsessed! Good thing I love pink, too!

New Years Resolution

Since I know that I most likely won't keep any resolutions that I make for myself, I have decided to post these resolutions for the kids:

Claire-This will be the year that she quits the pacifier!

Noah-He's going to quit chewing on his shirt sleeve!
